Indigenous - Family Medicine
The UBC Family Medicine Indigenous Victoria site offers a unique two-year residency program focused on providing safe and appropriate care for Indigenous peoples. Teaching Philosophy
Relationship-based, community-engaged training that supports residents to develop respectful connections with Indigenous communities and learn about health and healing from Indigenous perspectives.
Training Setting
Victoria, located on traditional Lekwungen and WASANEC territory, with training sites including Cool-Aid Inner-City clinic, Victoria Native Friendship Centre, Westshore Community Health Centre, and Royal Jubilee Hospital.
