Summary

The UBC Emergency Medicine Interior site offers a dynamic and collegial training experience in Kelowna, British Columbia. With a small resident cohort of approximately 3 residents per year, the program provides early graded responsibility, extensive procedural opportunities, and an exceptional work-life balance in a beautiful location.

Research

Residents are required to complete a scholarly project relevant to Emergency Medicine, with support to pursue individual projects or join ongoing faculty research.

Training setting

Located in Kelowna at Kelowna General Hospital, a 440-bed tertiary care center serving the Okanagan Valley. The Emergency Department handles approximately 95,000 patients annually and serves as a referral center for trauma, stroke, and surgical subspecialties.
