The North Nova Family Medicine program is a two-year integrated longitudinal training experience focused on comprehensive family medicine. Training

Research

Residents are required to complete a scholarly project with protected time allocated for research activities. The project aims to introduce residents to evidence-based medicine and research methodology.

Training setting

Rural and small community settings across North Nova Scotia, including areas from Antigonish to New Glasgow, Truro, Amherst, and Tatamagouche. Training occurs in diverse clinical environments including family medicine offices, hospitals, nursing homes, and emergency departments.
