Summary

The Internal Medicine (Core) Program at the University of Toronto is committed to providing residents with the best possible training experience to foster their growth into future internists who are excellent patient-centered clinicians and leaders in social accountability and resource stewardship. The program offers a comprehensive three-year specialty training with opportunities for subspecialty training and research.

Research

Residents complete a scholarly project during PGY2-PGY3, with options for clinical, health services, quality and safety, education, and humanities research. Clinician-Scientist and Clinician-Educator programs available.
